Abstract

Hannes Meyer’s radical position regarding a functionalist architecture, detached from any historical and cultural relationship with the site, that favors an universal language based on mathematical precision, is manifested in his projects for the Petersschule and the League of Nations competitions. His ideology confronts him with the conservatism of the interwar period.
